Camila Baum: Empowering BIPOC Creatives

Welcome to the Board: Medical Social Worker, Camila Baum

Oakland, CA – Oakland-based non-profit organization, BRIDGEGOOD, is pleased to announce the appointment of Camila Baum as the newest member of its Board of Directors. Baum brings over a decade of experience as a Medical Social Worker, with a focus on healthcare policy, patient advocacy, racial and economic justice. Currently, Baum works as a Case Management Social Worker at the Alameda Health System and as a Medical Social Worker II in various departments at Kaiser Permanente.

As a key member of BRIDGEGOOD’s Board of Directors, Baum’s expertise and unique perspective will contribute to the organization’s efforts to empower underrepresented students and job seekers of color. She will work to ensure that students from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and neighborhoods, including those facing unique challenges, have a voice and representation in the organization’s programs and initiatives.

They aim to train 40,000 student Designers by 2030 — with a focus on User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI), Product Design, and Visual Design careers.
