Sydney T Nguyễn joins BRIDGEGOOD’s Board

BRIDGEGOOD Welcomes Sydney T Nguyễn to Board of Directors

Oakland, CA – BRIDGEGOOD, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on design for social good, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Sydney T Nguyễn to its Board of Directors. Sydney, an accomplished design leader and strategist, brings extensive experience in user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design, artificial intelligence, responsible tech, and community research to the organization.

As an inclusive UX Designer at Amazon, Sydney is dedicated to building meaningful products while exploring the social and ethical implications of future technologies. Her commitment to empowering women of color in technology, paying it forward to the Oakland community, and providing opportunities to job seekers with non-traditional backgrounds aligns perfectly with BRIDGEGOOD’s mission to create positive change through design.

Shaun Tai, Executive Director of BRIDGEGOOD, expressed his excitement about Sydney’s addition to the Board, saying, “Sydney is a valuable addition to our team, and we are thrilled to have her passion and expertise driving our organization forward. As a proud Oakland native and representative, she brings a unique perspective to our work and is committed to giving back to her community in meaningful ways.”

Sydney is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she earned dual degrees in architecture and comparative ethnic studies. She has expertise in product inclusion, design leadership, community research, and public speaking.

They aim to train 40,000 student Designers by 2030 — with a focus on User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI), Product Design, and Visual Design careers.
